Keith Haring

BHP Collectibles is excited to announce that it has Keith Haring products available. Keith Haring was an artist who was born on May 4, 1958, in Pennsylvania and developed a love for drawing at an early age. He enrolled in the School of Visual Arts in New York and found a thriving alternative art community. Haring became well-known for his public works, which carried social messages and produced more than 50 public artworks between 1982 and 1989. In April 1986, Haring opened the Pop Shop, a retail store in Soho that sold T-shirts, toys, posters, buttons, and magnets bearing his images, allowing people greater access to his work at a low cost. The shop received criticism from many in the art world, but Haring remained committed to his desire to make his artwork available to as wide an audience as possible. Haring was diagnosed with AIDS in 1988 and established the Keith Haring Foundation in 1989, which provides funding and imagery to AIDS organizations and children's programs. BHP Collectibles is proud to have Keith Haring products available and encourages everyone to experience Haring's artistic legacy.
