Round Lemon's upcoming project with No Jobs in the Arts on environment and sustainability is something BHP Collectibles read about and had to promote! The project invites early-career artists and creatives from the Midlands to submit their visual art for a chance to be featured and interviewed in the zine's seventh edition. Selected artists will be paid £75 each for their contribution, and the zine will be distributed in print and online. The publication will be free online, with the option to pay what readers can afford for print copies. The deadline for submission is set for April 25th, 2023, at midnight. BHP Collectibles website now features an interview with Birmingham-based artist, Jade Jessop. She uses bold acrylic colours and monochromatic tones to create powerful abstract paintings that often incorporate a pop of gold leaf. Jessop draws inspiration from contemporary artists such as David Hockney and Mr Brainwash, blending figurative work with graffiti in a direction she would love to explore further.
